Have
you considered your own mortality?
Death isn't a respecter of status - it visits the rich
and poor, healthy and sick, happy and unhappy. No matter
how successful you may become, or how much fun you'll
have living life to the fullest, your appointment with
death will arrive. The bible says that when this day comes,
God will judge you according to His law - the 10 commandments
(Exodus
20).
Examine
yourself in light of these:
have you ever lied (9th), or stolen anything (regardless
of value - 8th), or lusted (God sees this as adultery
- Matthew
5:27-28 - 7th), or hated anyone (God sees this as
murder - 1
John 3:15 - 6th)? Have you kept the tenth commandment
(you shall not covet)? Have you ever disobeyed your parents
(5th)? The bible says that God won't hold him guiltless
who takes His name in vain - have you ever used God's
name in vain (Exodus
20:7 )? If you have answered "yes" to these
questions you're a liar, a thief, a blasphemer, an adulterer,
a murderer, covetous and you've dishonored your parents.
This is why you are an enemy of God (Romans
5:10).
If
a man commits murder, he is a murderer.
The next day he is still a murderer. One year later or
even a decade later, he is still a murderer. On the Day
of Judgment, he is still a murderer. Even if he donates
every last cent to the poor, or spends every one of the
rest of his days doing kind deeds, he is still a murderer.
God does not forget the sins of our youth and time does
not forgive them.
In
the same way that police don't reward us for not
breaking the law,
nor a judge aquit a murderer because of his charity, God
will not overlook our evil because of the few good deeds
we may do.
Will
you be guilty or innocent?
If you have sinned just once every day, over 40 years
you will have broken God's law more than 14,000 times.
The bible says that you'll be called to give an account
for every idle word which you've ever spoken (Matthew
12:36).
Please
consider your fate.
God is a good, just Judge and must punish you. If you
listen to your conscience, you know that you'd be guilty
and be cast into hell. God doesn't want you to end up
in hell which is why he sent his Son to take your punishment.
Jesus Christ paid your fine by dying on a cross 2000 years
ago and bearing the full measure of God's wrath which
you are storing up for yourself.
The
bible says that if you repent (turn from your sin) and
trust in Jesus just like you'd trust in a parachute, you
will be saved. "For God so loved the world that He
gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him
should not perish but have everlasting life." (John
3:16). There's nothing more important than your eternal
destiny. Please don't reject God's offer of mercy.

Matthew 12:36

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in
that while we were still sinners, Christ died for
us. Romans 5:8
For
God so loved the world that He gave His
only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him
should not perish but have everlasting life.
For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn
the world, but that the world through Him might be
saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but
he who does not believe is condemned already,
because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten
Son of God. John 3:16-18

who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but
